Electric Scooter With 130 KM Range Launch By Honda

Honda Motor Co., Ltd  is a Japanese public multinational conglomerate manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles, and power equipment, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Honda has been the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959, reaching a production of 400 million by the end of 2019, as well as the world’s largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year. Honda became the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer in 2001. In 2015, Honda was the eighth largest automobile manufacturer in the world.

Honda will start production of electric scooters next year in India. Recently company present its plan for electric bike production across the world and will introduce full rage in bikes. and will start in one of the largest two-wheeler markets in Asia. Both Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have specified three categories of operations in the two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) market. As per the company press release Honda will produce EV, electric bike (EB), and electric moped (EM) categories in India. Along with that HMSI has a plan to produce a new electric two-wheeler in April 2023.

By the end of 2025 Honda company will produce 10 or more new modal of electric bikes, company gave details of its production plan in a recent press session regarding the business plan.

For Aisa and Europe company will initial its bike production. Following is the expected list of bikes.

  • EB will have a top speed of 25 km/h or less.
  • EM will have a top speed of 50 km/h or less.
  • EV will have a top speed of over 50 km/h.

 

The company’s official business presentation shows that Honda will launch EVs in Japan, Europe, and the US, and EMs in all markets. The company will launch 7 mopeds, 3 large bikes, and 1 small trail bike for children but still more details about mentioned models are still awaiting.
