Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen register for The Hundred 2023 draft

Pakistan captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi are among the biggest foreign names to register in The Hundred draft for 2023.

The aforementioned Pakistan trio have entered the draft with a reserve price of £100,000.

The draft is set for March 23, whereas the tournament is scheduled to take place in August.

Pakistan pacers, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir have also entered the draft at a reserve price of £60,000.

Mitchell Starc is one of five foreign players to have set the maximum men’s reserve price of £125,000, along with Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa, Kieron Pollard and Shakib Al Hasan.

Earlier this month, Pakistan all-rounder, Shadab Khan, was retained for £100k by Birmingham Phoenix. Shadab will play alongside international cricketers like Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes and Liam Livingstone for Phoenix.

Wicketkeeper-batsmen, Azam Khan and Mohammad Haris, are also hoping to be drafted for the competition.

In last year’s draft, Babar went unsold as the tournament clashed with Pakistan’s international commitments. Babar was listed at the reserve price of £125,000.
