On asking the question that tells us about your initial life and how you entered into the entertainment industry. She replayed that I am a self-creative and self-motivated person, a person who always love to grow up with other supporting peoples.  I feel like every person, no matter what walk of life they are from, wants to feel seen and heard. I want my creative work to allow people to feel just that because we are all a part of a collective whole. In addition to that, she told that she entered the entertainment industry as a comedian. I have always loved to join TV as an actress and I not only dream of it but work hard as well. Started acting for a teleplay my father was making, for kids, when I was about three years old and the rest is history.

My Father and mother both were in the entertainment field, so they grow me like a princess and always feel me be a successful actress. From my childhood, I and my brother have had lots of puppets, paintings and Peerzadas, these sorts of toys involved us in creative work and gave artists in us. Along with that, my parents are also artists so I availed everything which I need to be an actress since from my childhood.

I always enjoyed acting and performing – be it for my cousins at a Sunday lunch at my ‘Daadi’s’, or on stage in front of people I had never met. I would say that being an artist was always in my blood and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tell us a bit about ‘Baji Bombastic’. How did you come up with the name and concept and did you expect her to be such a hit?

She said that when I was 18 years old we all had family and normally spent our Sunday in our dedi home till dinner time. And I love to entertain all my cousins and other family members. I always looking to get a chance to stand and start comedy, resultantly my cousins named me Baji Bombastic.  I started performing stand-up comedy shows with ‘Baji’ in 2017. Fast forward to 2019 – my final year at LUMS, I had no social media whatsoever back then, and my brother gave me a long speech, telling me that I must put my ‘Baji’ videos online. He told me my videos would go viral. I was totally surprised when I received a very huge response over the internet and luckily some main  stream media person see my videos and consider me for TV screen.she says whatever she feels like.

‘GROWING UP, MY BROTHER AND I WERE CONSTANTLY SURROUNDED WITH PUPPETS, PAINTINGS AND PEERZADAS. THREE INGREDIENTS THAT MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE AN ARTIST, THROUGH AND THROUGH’

Black and White of working in the Pakistani entertainment industry?

According to her personal view progress in Pakistan TV industry is much easier than indian TV because Pakistan TV industry is too small with minimum numbers of leading TV stars. But it is also sad to say that some unprofessional writer and directors damaging the true image of our industry, but there are numbers of professionals script writer and directors who working very well. Delayed payments are one such thing that have unfortunately withstood the test of time. Actres should make a union to secure the rights and other problems.

‘DELAYED PAYMENTS ARE ONE SUCH THING THAT HAVE UNFORTUNATELY WITHSTOOD THE TEST OF TIME. WE NEED TO CREATE A UNION AS A COMMUNITY, SO THAT OUR RIGHTS ARE BETTER PROTECTED AND PRESERVED’

In the startup of the career some negative commnects hit me so badly, as i was very new and not use to with such negativity. But now i adjusted with it and accept the both right and wrong views. Luckily, I had a support system of my family and close friends who made it much easier for me to navigate. I realized that as long as I had a close-knit circle of people who supported me, and let me know when I was in the wrong, I’d be just fine. i think to be successful acter we should keep in touch with our fans what ever their behaviours are. their feedback give us suggestion to improve our work.

What are your thoughts on P a k i s t a n ’ s e n t e r t a i n m e n t industry?

I prode to introduce the history of my industry as there are large numberof list of super doopr hit drama and we still doing our best to produce the quality work. We have very professional and creative peoples in our industry.  It’s heartwarming to see Pakistan getting the recognition it deserves, with ‘Joyland’ at Cannes, to ‘Ms. Marvel’. This is only the beginning. ‘InshAllah’.

Talk about some progress which we made this year.

I think it is just initiative of progressive pathway and we should have to cover the long journey. We have somany talented person in the TV industry.  It’s only a matter of time till Pakistani artists become mainstays of the global arts and culture landscape. All my prayers are with the community artists of Pakistan. government should take the TV industry serious and make policies to finance the new and young producers and directors so they can achieve their dreams.

Being New in industry what sort of challenges you face while working with seniors?

As i love to face challanges so it was not very hard for me to work with seniors artes. Even i enjoyed and learn so much while working with Samiya ‘apa’. That seniors are the only source of learning to us as there is not any professional level acting teaching institute in Pakistan. She has a very calming presence, and it was an honour to work with her. I felt completely at ease with her, and that really helped me build the chemistry between our characters, and dive deep into what my character demanded of me as an actress. I never felt that it was my 1st web serial all the seniors gave me so much confidence and courage to perfomed with confidance.
