Just this Friday, Musk announced that Twitter will partake in a 10% cut after the first year of subscriptions, which would include long-form text and hours-long video.
The Twitter CEO has been striving to bring revenue into the social media company with new strategies, especially after it experienced a drop in its advertising income last year. The company’s workforce has also significantly been reduced from 7,500 to 1,500, The Guardian reported.
Twitter has also been repeatedly warned about monitoring digital platforms, with breaches risking a fine of 6% of global turnover and even a suspension of the service.
