Comedy Legend Tariq Teddy From 12 August 1976 – 19 November 2022
Tariq Teddy was a Pakistani theatre comedian in Punjab, known for his quick, sharp replies. Teddy performed in Punjabi stage dramas and acted in the film Salakhein. He was from Faisalabad. His comedic persona was a fierce rival of the late fellow comedian Mastana, though the two were close friends off the stage. In 2015, his wife Asma filed a case in court leading to his arrest warrants.

Teddy died in Lahore on 19 November 2022, at the age of 46. According to Teddy’s son, his father had respiratory and hepatic issues, had been ill for a while, and had spent his last ten days receiving treatment at PKLI Hospital. Doctors at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) revealed that the late actor suffered from liver-related health issues, which reportedly worsened with time, leading to his untimely death.
The king of comedy teddy has started his professional career in 1990 by performaing arts. From Mama Pakistani to Abhi To Main Jawan Hun, his contribution to the arts and the theatre world remains noteworthy. He also got lots of appreciation in film salakhin in 2004 cause of his comedic performance and extra ordinory acting skills.
Tariq Teddy performed very difficult and clever roles on live stages and punjabi films, throught out his long career of 46 years he try his best to bring smiles on the faces of audiance ,regardless of his distressing health problems. Althoug his all stages dramas were very popular and hit but some of very well known are as Ji Karda, Do Rangeley, Beatho Beatho Liya Dala, Asli Tay Naqli, Jhoot Bolda, Mirch Masala, Ghoonghat Utha Loon, and Eid Da Chan.
