Painless death in one minute, Suicide Machine Legalized In Switzerland

People will be able to commit suicide without pain in just 1 minute, this country has approved the death machine. A machine that assists suicide clears legal review in Switzerland.

Switzerland has given legal approval to a suicide machine in the shape of a coffin. A machine that promises painless death in under one minute has cleared legal review. With the help of this machine, people will be able to embrace death without pain in just 1 minute. The level of oxygen inside the machine becomes very low, due to which the person dies.

According to a recent press release about 1300 people accept to die by using this machine last year. The death occurs through hypoxia and hypocapnia by reducing the oxygen to a critical level in the pod. Dr Philip Nitschke, the director of the non-profit organization Exit International, also known as ‘Dr Death’ invented this suicide machine. It has been named ‘Sarco’ as a reference to sarcophagus which means a stone coffin, the machine literally serves as a tomb for its user and the biodegradable capsule can detach from the base in order to serve as a coffin. The company that made this machine has given this information. It is being told that the level of oxygen inside the machine becomes very low, due to which the person dies due to hypoxia and hypocapnia.

“Barring any unforeseen difficulties, we hope to be ready to make Sarco available for use in Switzerland next year. It’s been a very expensive project so far but we think we’re pretty close to implementation now,” Dr Philip Nitschke said.

Spain became on Thursday the fifth country in Europe to legalise assisted suicide and euthanasia for long-suffering patients of incurable diseases and people with unbearable permanent.

As per the publication, the entire process takes less than a minute and allows the person to die “relatively peacefully and painlessly”. It is the latest example of advances in euthanasia machines, which are devices specifically engineered to allow an individual to die quickly with minimal pain in countries where voluntary euthanasia or assisted suicide is legal.

On the other hand, people are also criticizing Doctor Death in a big way. People are telling the wrong method to be used in their machine. They say that it is like a gas chamber. Some others said that this machine promotes suicide. At present, two Sarco prototypes have been prepared. Now a third machine is being made which will be ready by next year.

However, with the Sarco machine passing legal scrutiny in Switzerland, its creators are likely to put it up and ready for operation in the country from next year, according to reports.
