Mehwish Hayat, Kumai, SOC among others come together for flood relief fundraiser

Superfandom, an end-to-end concierge service for the Metaverse has recently announced a charity auction for climate change refugees in Pakistan. Mehwish Hayat, Kumail Nanjiani and Oscar and Emmy-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy will be joining the event through the micro-blogging website, Discord to assist the philanthropic occasion.

Taking to Instagram, the Metaverse community posted a series of images inviting people to join the auction. In one, they described the trauma of flood victims and vowed to help the aforementioned victims. The post read, “The devastation the floods in Pakistan have caused is unimaginable- with over 30M people displaced, 2000 dead and $30bn in damages. We at Superfandom want to do whatever we can to help the victims get back on their feet, and we hope you will join us in this cause. Stay tuned.”

Another post introduced Hayat, Nanjiani, and Obaid-Chinoy to the auction, alongside the various services they will provide that can be bid on by the guests. “Come join us and these amazing icons to help rebuild the lives of 33M people displaced in the flash floods. Get exclusive access like 1-on-1 Zoom calls, unique merchandise and more.” The post stated.

The auction is set to be held in November, with further details yet to be disclosed to people. The venue for the online charity is assumed to be Discord until further instructions are released to the guests.
