Kashmir’s Destiny
Mujay Hind say thundi hawayein ati hain, mujay Hind say thundi hawayein ati hain, Mujay Hind say thundi hawayein ati hain. (I receive cool breezing winds from Hind) These are the words of Muhammad ibn Abdullah (pbuh).
“Ay Kashmir Jannat Nazeer, Teri Wadiyoun say aye. Humain thandi hawain. Aik din teri azadi ka khuwab such hoga! Humari is ghulami ki neend say jagay k hum. Ay Kashmir nahi raye ga jaye ga teray farzando ka lahu. Is lahu ka rung khushbo ban kar phailayga. Ay Kashmir.”
(Oh Kashmir sight of Heaven, From your valleys may we receive cool breezing winds. Your dream of being free shall come true one day! We shall one day wake up from our slumber of slavery. Oh Kashmir the blood of young martyrs shall not go to waste. That color of those who bled shall release beautiful scents. Oh Kashmir!)
Kashmir. Where should I start? What should I say? Who to blame? I find these questions revolving around my head whilst I write this. A lot to say but cannot be delivered with effect due to the chains that have surrounded even our tongues. Nevertheless, where there shall be injustice, there shall be people like us ready to stand up against it. So as I begin, Ladies and Gentleman to try and gather up an ocean wide problem and transform it into concise little droplets. Which I intend and hope shall awaken and equip us with the vision and strength that is needed to free and liberate Kashmir!
A wise man once said, if you wish to change the world, then start by changing yourself. You see it is not the world that shall change but ones vision to tackle the problem. Ladies and Gentlemen, wherever we all go and whenever we have heard about the issue of Kashmir. It is always about history on what happened. Who is to blame and what is going to happen in the future. Today, I want to make one thing clear. Things are never solved by just standing on square one. The future is based on illusion and the past cannot be changed. What can be changed is the moment that we are present in.
The solution exists not as a definite answer but as an unveiling that waits desperately to be revealed by the hands of people with vision like Iqbal, charisma of Jinnah, the valor of Shah Wali Ullah and the work ethic of Sir Syed. They were the future, we are the future. You still ask what is the solution?
It is you my friend. You, you and you. Us. Whether you are a doctor, politician, musician, writer, comedian, teacher or from whatever race, creed or belief. As long as you are someone who entertains the thought of a liberated Kashmir, play your part. And that is to be the best version of yourself.
Today I write this not with the intent to provide a solution but with the intent to spark up that lost power and strength that is needed to execute proper action in due time. And it is due Ladies and Gentlemen. The solution lies in power and the power lies in you.
Ask yourself right now, are we thinking about Kashmir, trying to play the part we can? Are we the prisoner who built his own cage with the key in his hand?
Once again, these words keep on pondering:
“Mujay Hind say thundi hawayein ati hain, Mujay Hind say thundi hawayein ati hain, Mujay Hind say thundi hawayein ati hain. (I receive cool breezing winds from Hind)
These are the words of Muhammad ibn Abdullah (pbuh).
Aj sochnay aur krnay ka waqt h, shahid kal yay bhe na ho.I would love to share a couplet that I thought of. Azaadi k mozu ko madaynazar rakhtay hoye. Adab walo k jaaninb say adab walo k liye. (Considering the topic of freedom. From the respectful, dedicated towards the respectful)
“Yay h Kashmir ka muqadar, yay h Kashmir ka naseeb.
Yay h Kashmir ka muqadar! Yay h kashmir ka naseeb.
nasrum minallah wa fathun qareeb! (61:13)”
(This is Kashmir’s destiny, this is Kashmir’s faith.
This is Kashmir’s destiny! This is Kashmir’s faith.
Help from Allah and a near victory! (61:13)”
