Although his character has been thoroughly developed throughout three seasons, Fazal, who has won numerous accolades for his performance in the series, admitted that he is not sure how much further his part can be developed on screen.
“The film is a huge turning point for us; therefore, I am truly excited about it. It’s interesting to note that Peaky Blinders, one of the most popular Hollywood programs, also revealed plans to turn their show into a film at about the same time,” Fazal said. “Since many aspects of my character have already been developed, I’m not sure how much more can be done.”

Fazal recognized the difficulty of condensing the series’ intricacy into a one- or two-hour film. The goal of the film is to capture the world of Mirzapur in a more condensed, cinematic format. “It’s a difficult task to condense all the substance from the three seasons into a brief one- or two-hour film experience,” he explained. Everything hinges on how the narrative develops in this new structure,” he clarified.

The Mirzapur film promises to delve deeper into the gritty underworld of the fictional town. It shows the rowdy gangsters returning to their iconic roles. Fans can expect an adrenaline-filled ride, with Fazal’s Guddu Bhaiya likely to have a commanding presence on the big screen.
