For the love of acting: Imran Ashraf actually shaved his head in ‘Dum Mastam’
Ashraf, who is among a few names in the industry known primarily for their craft, is also known to take such a deep dive into his character that it becomes almost impossible to separate him from his work. His performance compels viewers to empathise with each avatar he dons, so much so, that his are among the most memorable characters on screen. From Bhola, to Moosa to Wali and now, Bao, Ashraf is consistent in making his mark and letting the show he puts on, speak for itself.
“Yes! I shaved my head on screen for my character Bao while filming Dum Mastam,” wrote Ashraf in the caption of a behind the scenes video he shared from the sets of the film to his Instagram. “For the love of acting, it happened [for the] first time [in] this part of the world. It was one of the reasons I took a gap after Raqs e Bismil, [before starring in] Badzaat,” he revealed.
“I will keep on trying to get your love hamaisha (always). Please go watch Dum Mastam,” he urged.
