In her new release in Clean beauty School, she revealed in detail about the lymph system and how we can take care of it as with skincare. In addition to that this article will also put some light on her personal lifestyle.
“I’ve always been interested in how you approach your health affects your beauty but also how you treat your face affects the entire body,” she says.
There are following three routine things which she does on daily basis.
Lymph work
The lymphatic system, or lymphoid system, is an organ system in vertebrates that is part of the circulatory system and the immune system. It is made up of a large network of lymph, lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, lymphatic or lymphoid organs, and lymphoid tissues. The vessels carry a clear fluid called lymph (the Latin word lympha refers to the deity of freshwater, “Lympha”)towards the heart.
She did a very deep reacher about the lymph system and found that almost so many pressures point is located abound this system, which is very helpful for not only the skin but overall body health.
“There are so many things that can contribute to lymphatic stagnation or inflammation in the body, from muscle tension to our nervous system and stress,” she says. “With myself, I have a chronic illness and autoimmune disease, so I am always working on my lymph flow.”
She always focused to work with her lymph system despite her tough daily routine task. There is a number of lymph exercises which she does on daily basis like facial cupping, gua or message. But if she is much busy with daily tasks then She does a quick two-point ritual: One just above the collarbone and one below the ear, behind the jawline. These happen to be two of the body’s major lymph centers. “If you can feel right above your collarbone, there’s that beautiful little dip out toward the head of the shoulders. Place all your fingers in that nice dip, and you are going to hit the spot. With a light touch, simply start massaging in small outward circles,” she says. “Then move up the neck behind the angle of the jaw. Massage that area for a great lymph flow.”
Mind your fiber
Being a holistic expert she always puts a deep eye on lifestyle and believes that our eating habits, sleeping routine, and things like that put a very impressive effect on our skin and aging factors. She not only design a daily diet chat but also defined protocols called “Bean Protocols”. “It’s played a big role in my personal healing journey,” she says.
“The bile in the liver excretes excess hormones, which go into the digestive tract where ideally we have plenty of soluble fiber—like beans, psyllium husk, steel-cut oats—that binds with this,” she explains about the eating plan. “These absorb the excess hormones, then eliminate them from the body. If we don’t have enough soluble fiber in the digestive tract, we actually reabsorb them in the body.”
Morning Routine
We all know the importance of nighttime skincare, but a solid morning routine is just as crucial. Nighttime skincare aims to address skin issues before the regenerative process of sleep begins, but daytime skincare is all about protection and preservation. You can’t create a youthful complexion, later on, you can only maintain the one you have now.
According to her “I do a little rinse with water. If I’m feeling inspired, I might actually cleanse, but mostly just water is fine,” she says. “Then I spritz on a tonic and apply an oil.”
